License Registration

If you have read and understood the license agreement, then please fill in the form below.

On acceptance of registration the MRC will grant the Licensee, a non-exclusive license and right to use the SUPERFAMILY package, and to access any changes and updates.
The SUPERFAMILY package does not include all of the software required to use the models. This must be obtained from elsewhere; users are advised to consider SAM and HMMER.

Having a dedicated user list is a strong bargaining tool for grant proposals and requests for hardware. We do not share, sell or rent your personal information to third parties - ever.

Instructions for on-line registration

Once you have completed the form and clicked on the Register button, you will be deemed to have entered into a license agreement with the Medical Research Council, UK. You can access SUPERFAMILY downloads immediately after you have done this. Please record the registration number given. A conformation of your registration details will also be sent to the email address listed, along with download instructions.

Two licensing options exist:
  • Academic license
    1) Free
    Available only to academic institutions purely for use in non-profit research.
  • Commercial licence
    2) Free
    There is no longer any charge for commercial users.
